Japan airlines worked a lot to raise well in the post war circumstances, as the whole Japanese society was struggling to come out of those circumstances. Japan airline acquired their business license for providing domestic flights with proper schedules. The company merged with Japan air transport and japan airlines were established. The initial capital of the air line was 100 million Yen. The first president of the company was Seijiro Yanagita and the first chairman was Aiichiro Fujiyama. Head quarters of the company were located at Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. After this, japan airlines opened their sales office in Tokyo at company’s head quarters and also at Tokyo office Haneda Airport and also opened the Fukuoka office. The first group of female flight attendants joined the japan airline at their Sapporo district office.
Japan airlines have held their first invitation flights on aircraft DC3 , kinsei. This air craft was leased from Philippine Airlines Osaka office. Japan airlines had an emblem contract with commission Northwest Airlines to assist the airline for handling flight operations. The first air craft to enter the service of japan airlines was Martin 202 “Mokusei”. In the beginning japan airline offered there regular standard fares, special discount packages for round trips and discounted prices for family fares. The standard dare for the flight of Tokyo to Osaka is 6,000 yen, for the flight from Osaka to Fukuoka is 5,520 yen, fare of the flight from Tokyo to Fukuoka is 11,520 Yen and fare of flight from Tokyo to Sapporo is 10,200 Yen.
Japan airlines started there regular scheduled flights on daily basis to Tokyo and Sapporo as one round trip, from Tokyo to Osaka in three round trips, from Tokyo to Osaka to Fukuoka in one round trip. The third air craft to enter the services of japan airlinee was DC 4”Tenosei”.
In the year of 1991, Yamoto Transport and Nippon Express jointly established Japan Universal System Transport which was abbreviated as JUST, it was the first airline of Japan which served as cargo only airline. Japan airlines started to operate chartered rescue services for Government, as they rescued the return victims of Gulf War back to their homes in two flights which departed from Cairo. Japan airline operated two more additional flights in the same year on the date of 30 January. JAL flight academy started their services between Hiroshima and Oita along with the route of Hiroshima and Matsuyama by operating two flights on daily basis.
