Technical Support - Rating: A+
One of InMotion Hosting's greatest strengths is their level of support. They offer 24x7 toll free phone support while most other cheap VPS hosting companies only offer ticket based support. InMotion's support reps can also be reached by email or live chat if you prefer. Their support reps will also help with most issues if you run in to any. Other VPS providers will generally offer only very limited support, hardware/network support only or charge additional fees for any support provided.

Included Features - Rating: A+
An aspect we really like about InMotion Hosting is that they include a lot of additional features for free. They include cPanel with WebHostManager pre-loaded which means you'll be able to start setting up your websites immediately. Virtually every other VPS host will charge you extra for a control panel. Data backups are also included with InMotion along with a pre-install iptable firewall. Both of these features cost extra with everyone else that we looked at.

Another included feature that's great is the "Burstable RAM" that InMotion includes with their VPS plans. Basically what it means is that you'll not only have the dedicated RAM associated with your account but also the benefit of being able to pull from a pool of RAM if your site experiences a temporary use increase.

Options - Rating: A
An option that they have that's pretty rare is the ability to choose which of their data centers you want your virtual server to be placed in. It makes sense that if you live in NYC you don't want your data and information to have to go all the way across the country and then all the way back. Shorter is better. One drawback however is that if your site is developed in ASP or .NET or you want an operating system other than CentOS you'll have to look for a different provider. InMotion only offers Linux based cheap VPS plans with CentOS.

Price - Rating: A
When you compare prices InMotion may appear to be more expensive, we thought so too at first. But once you actually take a look at all the things that are included with InMotion and the high level of support they provide you'll see that they're actually less expensive than most VPS hosts.
